Did you know that about 11% of all firearms and ammunition sales go to fund wildlife conservation and public shooting ranges? The Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports is hosting this session in partnership with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service to highlight the role that shooting sports spending plays in wildlife conservation and providing public shooting ranges access. This session will provide an overview of the Council, data on the growth of shooting sports and the need for more access, and an in-depth explanation of how tax dollars from firearms and ammunition are being used to provide more access for shooters all while supporting wildlife conservation. This session will be capped off with a panel discussion including the Council, USFWS, and NAAGA to engage with the audience about public ranges, enhancing access, and potential partnerships.
